HOUSTON (AP) — Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak was carted off the field during halftime of Sunday night's game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Emergency medical personnel as well as team staff swarmed to Kubiak's aid just after the second half ended.
It was unclear what happened to Kubiak, who was alert and responsive as he was carted off the field midway through halftime.
NBC reported on its broadcast of the game that defensive coordinator Wade Phillips said Kubiak was taken to the hospital for precautionary measures.
The Texans held a 21-3 lead over the Colts, led by Case Keenum and Andre Johnson, who connected for three touchdowns, including two in the first quarter.
